Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress from the US. The most well-known of her roles is Skyler White in The AMC show Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding supporting actress in a Drama Series. In addition, she has played Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. She was enthralled by acting at Preparatory school and then moved to Ohio with her family in the early 1970s. She went to Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career in Chicago-area theatres for several years. Her next move was to film and television. Anna's first role of note was Arden, in Down the Shore. She made an appearance in 29 episodes. After appearing as a Guest Star in several TV Shows as well as films, like Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 90's In 1992, she landed the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons throughout the decade of 2000. She also starred as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood was also a part of her oeuvre. Gunn appeared on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. The actress played a role in the four-part podcast audio drama, Numbered Days. It was released in 2022. Breaking Bad is often built around the relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler. Their uneasy bond and final demise mirror the tragic end to Walter White.
